     I have Scilab version « 5.2.0.1271678829 » and Sage Version 4.6.1 and Python 2.6.6
installed on the machine hosting wims-4.01e server.

     Consider the tool DirextExec:

I find Python and Scilab in the drop down box of Execute options, along with GAP, Maxima, Macaulay, Pari etc.

However with Python option one gets the error:

Your code did not give any output from Python.

Error message from Python : python: can't open file './python.src':

[Errno 2] No such file or directory

Similarly, with Scilab option one gets the error:

Error message from Scilab :

scilab: execution error or time out.

Also, while trying to use Modtool the following options appear

Support Software Requirements:   COQ,  Gap,  Graphviz,  Macaulay 2,

Maxima,  Octave,  PARI/GP,  Povray,  GeoGebra

Scilab , Python options do not show up. According the available documentation it should be possible to create wims interface to programs which enable batch execution.

How does one enable Scilab, Python into the list ?
