  Bonjour,
  
  Je me permets d'écrire sur ce forum car je suis actuellement en stage d'informatique au sein d'un collège et j'ai tenté d'installer un serveur WIMS sur un pc fonctionnant sous Linux Debian Squeeze (également recyclé en controleur de domaine).
  
  Or lorsque je me connecte au site par l'adresse http:/ »adresseipdemonserveur »/wims j'obtiens le message suivant:

  WIMS panick! Unable to bring up wimslogd.
  
  Permission denied «
  
  Auriez vous une idée du problème car je ne trouve pas d'information sur le net.

  En général, cela a lieu quand le serveur Apache n'a pas démarré assez tôt. Ou quand l'ordinateur a été éteint
  
  lors d'opérations de maintenance de wims. On peut essayer de recompiler alors.

  J'ai réinstaller Wims sans succes, j'ai toujours le même problème. Quand j'execute apache.config qui est dans /var/lib/wims/bin, j'obtiens:
  
  « /var/lib/wims/bin/apache-config: 28: httpd: not found
  
  /var/lib/wims/bin/apache-config: 29: apache: not found
  
  Now you must restart your httpd to make the new configuration
  
  take effect.
  
  If you don't know how to do so: just shut down the system then
  
  restart it.

  pourtant mon apache est correctement configuré et j'ai accès aux autres pages de mon serveur, j'ai du mal a comprendre.

  In my view if you see a message like:
  
  « WIMS panick! Unable to bring up wimslogd. Permission denied «
  
  in your browser (pointing at http://yourserver/wims/wims.cgi?), there is nothing wrong with apache.
  
  (apache is showing the error-message of wims)
  
  Just install wims as 'user wims'.Execute as root the script « ./bin/setwrapexec »
  
  The panick is most likely caused by wrong permissions.
  
  If you have installed wims on a separate partition or hard drive…make sure your « /etc/fstab » is correct. (eg shell-scripts and other programs may be executed)
